I wanted to talk a little bit about what my goal is as your photographer. Alot of people are very caught up in everyone looking at the camera with the "perfect" smile. Me? Not so much. What *I* truly love is to give you a gift of capturing the love between you and your family for you to treasure for always. I want to be your friend for however long our session lasts, quietly documenting the interactions that happen. They are magical to me. I want it to seem that I am almost not even there....I may direct you a little bit to a certain spot that has beautiful lighting or arrange you in a way that is a little more pleasing to the eye and then I just want you to "be". I want you to play and laugh and kiss and hug. I want kids to tease their parents and have FUN. That's my main goal...I want it to be fun.
The biggest compliment that I hear from people when they walk away from a session with me is that they dont want it to end . It always makes me chuckle a little because at the beginning I can see they are the VERY people who cant wait for it to be over *smile* They are always the ones I want to win over. I hear it from all sessions, family sessions, senior sessions, even newborn sessions. Here is the thing; I want your time with me to be memorable and enjoyable. I want you to walk away with a warm fuzzy feeling in your heart because you had a good time. If you have a good time and relax the pictures automatically will be amazing. I promise.
These photos tell a story. You can hear the laughter and literally *FEEL* the love. That's what I want. Above all, these are my favorite kind of shots. I dont care that no one is looking at me. I dont care that everyone is smiling all at the same time. I dont care if your hair is perfect and I especially dont care if you match. What I care about the very most is the JOY. A warm, happy, feel it in your bones kind of joy.
And every once in a while...... If I get a shot like this:
or this:
and this too:
well that's just the icing on the cake *wink* Happy Thursday!!!
You are amazing! You definately capture the magic!
